Welcome to Sri Venkateswara Hindu Temple, Stoney Creek

Sri Venkateswara Hindu Heritage & Cultural Centre of Hamilton, also called Sri Venkateswara Temple, Stoney Creek was established on September 6, 2013 with the aim of preserving and promoting the rich Hindu heritage and culture in Hamilton, Canada. We obtained charitable status from the Charity Directorate in January 2017. The center also houses the Hindu Heritage Council of Canada.

The presiding deity at the temple is Sri Venkateswara or Vishnu with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi.  The temple also has Ganapathi, Shiva, Durga, Hanuman and the Navagraha deities worshipped by the Hindus.

Daily pujas and rituals are performed as per Thirupati Devasthanam traditions by Mr.Dhananjayan, a resident priest who is trained at Tirumala Venkateswara Temple for over 8 years.

We welcome one and all to the temple, and look up to the community at large to grow and serve. Our future plans include, building a temple with a community hall on the adjacent piece of land that the City of Hamilton has gracefully agreed to sell to us at a reasonable price. We wish to focus on supporting and serving the community especially seniors, women and children, in addition to religious activities and engagements.

We greatly appreciate any financial or volunteer support as no help is too small.
